Stayed for a few nights with my Partner and children. Everything on our stay was fantastic. Rooms were great, Large spacious, with the direct access to the deck we were up and down to beach a lot. The food was the surprise highlight, hands down the best we had in a month of travel around Ireland. Would travel back just for the restaurant.

We stayed in the Connemara Sands for 3 nights in July. The hotel overall was lovely. The rooms were clean, spacious and decorated to a high standard. We did have an issue on our last night which meant we needed to change rooms. The situation was dealt with really well and the move was quick and seamless. The staff were very helpful. We had dinner in the bar one night which was of a good standard, though it was a bit slow due to volume of guests. The staff were very apologetic and did their best. The highlight of the trip was the breakfast. My husband and I both agreed it was one of the best we have had. There was a really good selection with lots of lovely fresh food. The chef is visible cooking (quietly) in the middle of the dining room so that you can see everything being prepared. Overall I would highly recommend and would return again.

Excellent hotel in Connemara, only 2 minutes walk to the beach and 15 mins drive to Clifden. Our room was split level with a view to the ocean. Room was very spacious, luxurious, comfortable and clean, with great facilities. Curtain could do with being replaced as it had some damage and staining but this is minor. Bathroom was fab with an excellent rainfall shower. Staff were all very pleasant. Cooked breakfast is high quality, portions are a little modest but there is a range of cold buffet food also. Room rates are quite high but this is in line with most of Ireland. A great stay!

We unexpectedly got a suite - sweet! The rooms were well-appointed, the facilities very nice. The location is a bit off the beaten path but absolutely beautiful. What was especially outstanding was the staff. Friendly, accommodating, always available to assist. Of special note was Fonting, our receptionist, bar maid, and waitress. She did everything short of cooking our exceptional food! We had a great experience.

We booked a self catering cottage for 2 nights. The cottage has a beautiful view of the sea. It is sufficient for 4 people. There are two rooms (one double bed and two single beds), one toilet, one bathroom. They have supplied all the basic utensils, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have good food options at their restaurant aswell. The private beach is easily accessible from the cottages. I would surely recommend it for a 2-3 days getaway!

We hadn't a single fault with the place! Top quality from start to finish, wonderful receptionist and staff members who couldn't do enough for you. The location was amazing but that goes without saying, would love to come back in the summer. The beach was lovely and very accessable. Dinner and breakfast were great, portion sizes perfect so almost no food waste 😊 The Connemara Lager they had on draught was great as well, nice to see something local. Will hopefully be back at some point.

Perfect getaway in Connemara. Friendly staff, amazing food with lots of care and attention paid, great flavors. A real passion by the Chef. Sauna on the beach and a swim in the atlantic. Seaweed baths & hot tub with a view to the Twelve Ben's. Scenic short drive to Cliffden & the sky road. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks to the staff.

We had 4 nights in this luxurious hotel at the beginning of our holiday on a 3 week driving tour of the Wild Atlantic Way about 4 weeks ago. We absolutely loved the hotel, its staff and breakfasts. The suites were luxurious with gorgeous views of its own little beach. Had everything you could possibly need. Nothing came close to this hotel during our holiday and we were so sad to leave it. I was worried we were too far out of Clifden (10 mins) but it didn’t feel like that and the drive in and out is so pretty. Special thanks must go to Marion who I emailed and phone several times when changing dates. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and could not have been more helpful. Cannot recommend more highly
